RHS Daphne Small Bird Nest Box

The Daphne nesting box created for small birds is a remarkable component of the RHS Wildlife Collection. This nest box showcases a captivating design in dark green and natural oak colors, accented by a metal hole protector. Manufactured in the UK with attention to detail and inspired by the Royal Horticultural Society, the Daphne is a creation of individuals with autism and learning disabilities, utilizing timber from sustainable sources. This nesting box is certain to attract small birds such as House Sparrows and various members of the Tit family

The Daphne nesting box should be placed in a hidden garden location in early January to attract birds, the breeding season usually starts in March.  The 32mm hole is perfect for small birds and includes a metal hole protector to prevent predators from making the hole larger.

For optimal use, mount the nest box 2-4 meters high on a tree or wall in a shaded location out of direct sunlight. Clean the nest box annually between September and January when unoccupied by simply removing the back panel and washing with boiling water. This allows for thorough sanitization during the non-breeding season
