Sandwich Bags

Our snack bags are a sustainable companion in the kitchen, office, school and leisure time.

Our snack bags are handmade from organic cotton and natural beeswax.

 Contents: 2 snack bags, approx. 23 x 21 cm

The wax for our wraps comes from the wild rock bee Apis dorsata, which is similar in size to a hornet. Unlike local honeybees, rock bees build a single huge comb (up to 1.5 m in diameter), which they hang from tall trees, rock faces, or (increasingly, due to lack of natural habitat) water towers.

This means: our wax wraps are significantly tougher and more pliable than any other on the market.

Just imagine: These combs will have to withstand monsoon storms at great height! The bees nest in a national forest in South India, where tribals have been collecting honey (and wax) in traditional ways for 1000s of years.

Beeswax has an antibacterial and antifungal effect - making it perfect for the natural and sustainable storage of food.

The wipes can be reused for up to a year, after which they are compostable.
