Wildlife Winners - Free Prize Draw - UPDATE!

The Prize Day finally arrived and the 5 lucky winners had a super day at RSPB Leighton Moss on Saturday 22nd April with Simon.

Read all about the day here in the Blog from Simon himself!

Simon King is a world-renowned naturalist and wildlife film maker with countless productions as presenter, producer, director and cameraman. Productions include Big Cat Diary, Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch, Countryfile, Blue Planet, Planet Earth and many more.

Simon has won multiple awards for his camerawork and film making, including 3 Emmies, several BAFTAs and he was awarded the OBE for services to conservation and wildlife film making.

He started leading wildlife watching holidays and day trips over ten years ago and relishes the opportunity to share his enthusiasm and knowledge with small groups of people who are passionate about the natural world.

Winners will join Simon at RSPB Leighton Moss in Lancashire, one of his favourite wetland reserves. You will meet Simon early in the morning and enter the reserve for a full day's wildlife watching on Saturday 22nd April 2023. Highlights may include Bearded Tits (Reedlings), Bittern, Marsh Harrier, Otter and much more. Simon will be with you throughout the day to help identify the creatures we encounter and to interpret the subtleties of behaviour we witness. He'll also be on hand to help with photographic and fieldcraft tips.

You will be in the field for a full 8 hours so bring sufficient food and drink for the day. There are toilet and cafe facilities at the RSPB headquarters on site. You shall be visiting public hides and walking around the reserve. The area is level, but a reasonable level of fitness is required and walking boots or other durable footwear is recommended. Depending on conditions and encounters you may visit the nearby Morecambe Bay reserve which is a short walk away
