Swallows Nesting Bowl in grey unglazed ceramic with FSC certified timber mounting board.

Summer swallows are a delightful feature of our countryside and fields where they are hunting their insect prey on the wing. They like to build their nests in and around barns, garages, stables and outbuildings. You may help these quintessentially English summer migrants by putting up our ready-made swallow bowls to maximise their breeding potential near their hunting grounds.

Siting

The design replicates the shape and form of natural swallow nests.  Mount high up inside an outbuilding with easy access to the outdoors.  Using the pre-drilled holes in the wooden backplate. Once installed, it should be maintenance-free, and you can look forward to looking up to see the gaping mouths of the young as they wait for returning adults.

Wildlife community order

This is the first time that I have used Wildlife Community. The order arrived on time and in perfect condition. There was one item on my order that did not arrive and when it was pointed out it arrived quickly with no fuss which was appreciated. I thought that preparation for weathering on the items was a little optimistic and so treated the items before erecting them. I shall just have to to see how well the birds use them. The 3 boxes for general birds have already attracted quite a bit of interest. I shall use this company again.
